Old Raley's Stores Reopen As Albertsons
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Grocery shoppers around New Mexico will see a big change Friday. All Raley's stores in the state shut down recently. Now, they're opening again as Albertsons stores. Albertsons bought out Raley's nine operating stores in New Mexico back in June and had to shut them all down for a week for renovations. But Friday, they held grand openings for seven of those nine stores, which have turned into Albertsons. Workers have taken the Raley's brand items off shelves and donated them all to local food banks. An Albertsons representative said the new stores will carry different items, like 60 more varieties of organic produce. .
